...of procrastination

So I'm a senior and for some reason the above picture describes me a bit too well.

There were the days when homework was done weeks in advance and the night before was never for paper writing. I've digressed though and now well sometimes I have to drink a lot of coffee and only sleep after 12:00 am. And then I laugh too much at the tiniest things, because well the only way to really and truly cure stress is to laugh until all those around you are embarrassed.

Only 7 days till I'm finished...deep breath.

Another deep breath.

I wonder how hard it would be to contract a very contagious sickness and get sent home early?

I'm going to stop writing now before I get accused of procrastinating.

...God at Work

I think this is the only truth that keeps me going. It keeps me from despairing..from being degusted at myself.

If life were easy it would be sad, because there would be an absence of God working. So I'm thankful even if I have to be thankful through the tears and sleepless nights.

Because if you are in the will of God pain really is the happiest thing.

Ironic I know, but very true.

So maybe I can't see what is going on in life, but I can see God working and that is all that really matters.

...and it's Saturday.

According to the department stores there are now only 2 shopping days left before Christmas. Or if your the type who enjoys the thrill of a last minute rush of frantically trying to find the perfect gift that no longer exists there are 3 shopping Saturdays left.

For me there is now just one Saturday left to do homework. I think I could use another Saturday...actually I did have a few more Saturdays they were just spent doing other more uh important things than homework.

I am glad though for just one Saturday left to school work. This means Saturdays are coming where I can clean house and make a few things in the kitchen and of course make a large mess.

Did you know to that in just 2 Saturdays I will have only one semester of school left? Did you also know that  I thought Christmas time would be the perfect time to end my freshmen year of college?

I didn't though because God has a way of giving us the strength to do things we never thought possible. Maybe it was a lot of little things, but too me they are very big things. Things that sometimes take me breath away, because of how big God showed Himself to be in them.

I said that because of our amazing Hebrews teacher who teaching us through chapter eleven. I think that chapter is the essence of awesomeness, but that is just my opinion.

In the opinion of another "God is just awesome". And I would have to agree.

...tired.

I didn't want to come back from Thanksgiving break. I wanted to go home...the place where I could curl up on the couch any time I liked... the place where there is no pressing duties...the place where I sleep in my own room.

I wanted more than a change scenery though.

I wanted a change of life. Just for a few days to be able to be free from the struggle of my sin nature. Just to be perfect and have to work so hard to avoid pitfalls.

Because I was tired.

I get tired of being frustrated. Tired of feeling regret when I do things I shouldn't.

I never tire though of basking in God's faithfulness. Never do I tire of looking for all of those little ways God's works in a day.

I get tired of seeing myself for who I am, but I never wish to get tired of seeing God for who He is. Letting a heavenly view replace a earthly view.Somehow that is where I stop being tired and start feeling strengthened
